Dr Paula Murphy is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. She provides psychiatric reports for many types of medico-legal cases. She has a particular interest in the psychiatric impact of trauma and abuse including sexual, domestic, neglect, repetitive, historic sexual abuse and coercive control.
She has a network of highly esteemed expert witness psychiatrists and psychologists with expertise in many different areas of psychiatry so if she is not the right expert for your case, she will help you find the right one.

Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist
Dr Paula Murphy qualified as a doctor in 2001. She did her core psychiatric training on the London Royal Free Hospital rotation between 2005-2009. She sub-specialised in forensic psychiatry on the South London and Maudsley rotation between 2009-2012.
She has worked as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist providing in-patient care in secure hospital settings in the Independent sector and NHS since 2012. She currently works in a female medium secure ward in the NHS.
She has worked in a range of settings including High Security, Medium Security Low Security, prison and court diversion.
She has been providing expert witness reports to the courts since 2010.
She is published in peer review journals and books and presented at national and international conferences.
She is an executive board member of the Forensic Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a Trustee of Crime in Mind
